positive charge

Welcome to the website for Marshall Academy’s Robotics Team #6580 – “Positive Charge”, the robotics team for Marshall Academy in Marshall, Michigan.

Our team is part of a larger network of robotics teams that annually build robots and compete against each other in the organization known as FIRST.  Read all about everything they do on their website www.firstinspires.org.   In particular, watch the following two videos from the 21st Kickoff to hear Dean Kamen, Founder, talk about “What is FIRST?” and Dr. Woodie Flowers, Chief Engineer, talk about “Why FIRST?”.

Our robot Dante in the latest Jackson competition.

Our FIRST Robotics chapter was begun in 2016 by Marshall Academy’s math teacher, Mr. Robert Rome. We’ve grown a bit since then, adding more students and a few parent mentors, and we have benefited greatly from the Marshall school community, as well as donors and sponsors of our program.  The benefit of this program for Marshall Academy’s students is truly beyond measure.
